Exposing New Audiences to Conservation

What is a “Friend”raiser?

We think it’s important to celebrate the natural resources in our state and we want to know what that means for you. “Friend”raisers are a space for the public to join us alongside environmental and conservation organizations to showcase how our missions cross-pollinate. These events occur around the state and expose new audiences to the collaborative nature of conservation work in a fun, casual environment. Past “Friend”raisers have featured local artists, “wild Florida” themed brews, screenings of our latest productions, live painting and art raffles.

Previous Friendraisers:

Last “Friendraiser” we partnered with Columbia Restaurant and the Flying Boat Brewing Company in St. Petersburg, Florida to convene with individuals and organizations in the area. We featured Florida wildlife art by Sonja Pedersen and live painting with Kelly Quinn of Canvas of the Wild. We screened one of our expedition films, The Last Green Thread, and shared our mutual love and respect for Florida’s natural resources.
