Ernesto Maranje: To The Edge Of The Wild
Exhibition Details
About the Exhibition
An internationally recognized muralist, painter, and master storyteller, artist Ernesto Maranje celebrates the connection between wildlife, native ecosystems, and the communities they inhabit.
Rendered with acrylic and spray paint, his canvas paintings, large-scale murals, and street art installations explore flora and fauna, biological evolution, and plant and animal relationships. At times, the contours between creature and landscape are blurred, dissolving the boundaries that define them as separate. His depictions of ever-evolving relationships express a vision of symbiosis and interdependence among all living creatures as they inhabit a simultaneously strong and delicate balance.
In the exhibition Ernesto Maranje: To the Edge of the Wild, Maranje debuts a new series of paintings on canvas and drawings on paper, exhibited for the first time at Wild Space Gallery. The newly completed wall mural will become part of the significant permanent collection of murals at The Factory and grace the entrance to Wild Space Gallery. The Panther and Egret mural highlights an iconic and endangered species whose survival depends on the protection and connectivity of the Florida Wildlife Corridor. The artwork embodies a celebration of conservation efforts, and the vital role wildlife corridors play in preserving Florida’s natural heritage for future generations.
